Saint Andrews Episcopal School -> Alumni -> Half Century Society -> Alumni Newsletter -> Fall 2010
Volume 1, Issue 2Fall 2010

Greetings from the Director of Alumni Affairs!
School began just a few weeks ago and already we're in full swing of activities!  The 6th graders have learned to use their lockers, the 8th graders are getting excited about the Washington, DC trip in October, and Lower School is proud to show off its California Native Garden, planned and designed with a grant from the California Native Garden Foundation!

I am delighted to start the year off with this issue of the Alumni Newsletter and remind you that you are always welcome back on campus – no need to RSVP!  Just stop by the campus and see how things have changed over the years since you were a student here!  And please come back to the events listed in this newsletter – they are designed with you in mind!  Enjoy, and please send alumni news and feedback to me at glongfellow@st-andrews.orgI look forward to hearing from you!

Alumni Reunion - Friday, November 26, 2010

Saint Andrew's Alumni from the Class of 1968-2006 and their parents are invited to attend the Fifth Annual Alumni Homecoming Reunion to be held Friday, November 26, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at Campo di Bocce in Los Gatos!

Join classmates, current and retired teachers, and other alumni families for what is sure to be another fun-filled evening of friendly competition on the bocce court.  The Alumni Relations Office graciously hosts the event and refreshments of the evening – you just need to bring your families and arrive ready to have fun!  There are prizes for families with the most alumni in attendance as well as for those who travel the farthest!

RSVP by sending an email to alumni@st-andrews.org.  It’s that simple!  We look forward to seeing you!

Alumni Speaker Series Kicks Off This Fall!
We've started something new at Saint Andrew's!  An Alumni Speaker Series will kick off this fall with Max Wainwright '99 returning to talk to our 8th graders about high school, college and the world beyond!  Eighth graders will be able to ask questions from graduates who have "been there, done that" in terms of navigating what comes after Saint Andrew's.

If you know any alumni whom you think would be interested in coming back to campus for such an interaction, or if you would be interested, email the Alumni Affairs Office at alumni@st-andrews.org.

Save the Date - PAB Spring Social and Auction!!
This year the school begins its 50th Anniversary Celebration.  That means the PAB Spring Social and Auction is going to be bigger and better than ever!  Save the date of May 14, 2011 for an evening of dining, dancing and bidding for a great cause!  Proceeds from this gala are used to fund the PAB activities for the school year as well as for a gift to the school.  Last year's Spring Social and Auction funded a Science Lab for the Middle School as well as Foss Science Kits for the Lower School and Fine Arts supplies for the entire school.
