Our Middle School music groups, under the direction of fifth through eighth grade music teacher Mr. Michael Higgins,
wowed the judges and the crowds at the Heritage Festival
competition in Anaheim on April 8th. From the 76 groups representing 38 different
schools (middle schools, high schools and colleges), Saint Andrew's was
recognized with the Festival's highest honor, the Sweepstakes For Total Program Award!

The Concert Choir received a Gold rating with 95 out of 100 possible points.
The Instrumental Ensemble also received a Gold rating with 90 out of 100 possible points.
The Jazz Orchestra received a Silver rating with 89 out of 100 points.
The judges were extremely impressed with the high level of musicality, sensitive singing and playing, and the attention given to the fundamental aspects of playing music, including proper vocalization, instrumental improvisation, and overall command of style, genre, and entertainment value.
This is Saint Andrew's sixth trip to the Heritage Festival and the second time they've received the top Festival award.
