Tuition Assistance Program

As a commitment to maintaining and building a community with highly qualified students and families committed to the school’s mission and values, Saint Andrew’s Episcopal School offers a Tuition Assistance Program. This year, 11.6% of our student body participates in the program. Families who are considering applying for tuition assistance for the 2016-2017 school year should visit the Tuition and Tuition Assistance webpage and follow the links to School & Student Services by NAIS. The deadline for all parents, re-enrolling and new applicants, to submit their preliminary Parent Financial Statement is February 1, 2016.

Hooray for Pre-K!

Saint Andrew's is proud to share that we have received another 5-year accreditation for a our fabulous Pre-Kindergarten program! The assessor gave us very high marks, including 100% or higher (yes, they gave us 100%+ in several categories) for our teachers, teaching, relationships, families, community relationships, leadership and management...

Child Stress Discussion at Saint Andrew's

Friday, January 22nd at 8:30AM in The Center, Father Cameron and Paula Ramos will facilitate a discussion on strategies for promoting positive emotional health in our children.  This is our follow-on event to the Common Ground event that we realize many of your will be missing to attend the State of the School.  Come chat with Father Cameron and Paula to learn more about the signs of stress and depression and how best to support your child.

Schoolwide Day of Service

In conjunction with our service learning theme of the year, Giving Hope, we are excited to announce a whole day of service. Father Cameron is working with our teachers and Service Learning Coordinators, Kristine Wall and Trisha Nugent, to provide an all day Service Learning experience for every Saint Andrew’s student on Tuesday, February 2nd. Service to others is a cornerstone of a Saint Andrew’s education and we are looking forward to this day of learning with STOP Hunger Now, Military Pen Pals, CityTeam and more. The day will conclude with an All School Service Learning Chapel at 2:30 PM. Parents are warmly welcomed to attend the closing chapel. Families can be further involved in this day of service by donating a pair of new athletic socks to be given to the homeless served by CityTeam.

Save the Date - Tuesday, February 2, 2016

Can you imagine what it might be like to have a 10 acre campus for our school? We are excited that we have raised over $4 million dollars towards our $5 million goal to make this dream come true. For many years the Board of Trustees have been in discussions to purchase the 3 acre property next door. We are now closer than ever before to realizing this great opportunity for campus expansion.

To acquire this land is to grow Saint Andrew's in an organic and socially conscious manner for many years to come. With the adjacent woodland as part of Saint Andrew's, we are assured that we have the land and resources needed to adapt to an ever-changing educational, spiritual, ecological and social environment.

Save the date for Tuesday, February 2, 2016, when we will launch the community-wide kick-off event of the Imagine the Possibilities capital campaign, organized by Campaign Co-Chair Claudia Morton. This will be a festive event where Saint Andrew’s families can learn more about the campaign and join in to make a gift to support this once in a lifetime opportunity.

90-Second Newbery Film Festival

Today was our 90-Second Newbery Film Festival, a celebration of the 7th graders' Newbery film creations. This national project, started by author James Kennedy (The Order of Odd Fish), challenges students to encapsulate an award-winning children's classic in a 90-second film, and add their own creative, zany twist to the telling. The students' films have been shared with James Kennedy in hopes of being featured on his website and/or at the upcoming Film Festival in San Francisco. We are also looking forward to James Kennedy visiting our school on February 10th.  You can view the students' films on the school's Vimeo page.
