The Greater Good at Saint Andrew's
by Erik Carlson, Head of School
Saint Andrew’s is a caring community that fosters service to others. Service to others is a meaningful Episcopalian tradition that is carried throughout our whole school from the faculty/staff volunteering at Santa Maria Urban Ministries, to parent volunteers who give hours of their “time, talent and treasure” to help our school thrive.
Volunteering and giving for the greater good is a quality that we heartily embrace as a school community.
Tuesday, Feb. 2nd is a day dedicated to The Greater Good at Saint Andrew’s.

Now Accepting Uniform Donations

The wonderful parent volunteers coordinating next week's Used Uniform Sale (Thursday, Feb. 4th, 7:00-11:45AM) will happily accept your clean, gently-used items to include in the mid-year sale. Clean, folded items can be dropped off at the front office tomorrow through Tuesday.

Updated Tuition Payment Schedule
In case you missed in last week's issue, we wanted to make sure that families who are making tuition payments in monthly installments know that the final payment for the 2015-2016 school year is in March. February is reserved for a re-enrollment deposit for the 2016-2017 school year, so there is no additional invoice for tuition payment in that month. April marks our break from tuition payments. Invoices for charges/fees related to after school care, athletics, etc. will continue to be sent monthly.
Beginning with the 2016-2017 school year...
Faith and Innovation Conference
Silicon Valley has generated innovation affecting millions of people world-wide. But what is innovation without meaning and purpose? Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church invites you to explore innovation, technology, and faith and how they may work together to further human connection and improve lives.
KEY DATES FOR 2016-2017
We're in the process of finalizing dates for specific events and activities, but we're ready to share the dates for the first / last day of school and holiday breaks.
Coffee in Los Gatos
Do you know students from families in the Los Gatos or Monte Sereno area that would be a good addition to our Saint Andrew’s community?
If so, one of our Los Gatos families has offered to host a neighborhood dessert-coffee hour on the evening of February 11th to allow families to meet and learn more about the school. Please feel free to
let your friends or neighbors in this area know about the event.
I love Saint Andrew's Episcopal School because...
Thank you to those who submitted a response already. I would love to hear how more of you would complete the phrase. What would you tell a friend who's considering the school for her child? Send
a note with a sentence or two about what you would share.
(Don't worry, it won't be used without your permission.)
Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church invites you to explore how the ancient practice of Centering Prayer can help us dive below the surface of our lives, connect our faith with our creativity, and become more aware of the presence of the Holy. The
contains all the details on you can be involved.
