Spring Open House & Art Show
Just a reminder to stop by Room 12 (downstairs next to the outdoor classroom) this week to take in the Class of 2016 Art Installation. The students have each created several pieces for the exhibition.
Also, as you plan your Open House evening (TOMORROW 6-8PM), plan to join Mr. Carlson in The Hall at 6:00 as he shares an important update regarding our school-wide migration to the Schoology Learning Management System and how it will provide both greater independence for students and improved methods of communication for parents. Following the announcement, Mr. Estacio will send out additional details and login information so you can gain access prior to the end of this school year.
For those who have not yet had a chance to visit the property next door, Mr. Carlson will also be offering short tours following his message. The campus will then be open until 8:00PM for you to explore your child's classroom and view the many, many works of art the students have created this year. Light refreshments will be served.
Seventh Grade Wins Race Across America
The annual competition for our sixth, seventh and eighth graders includes incentives for students to accumulate running miles throughout the school year. A prominently posted map of the U.S. showing each team’s virtual progress across the country contributes to motivation, perseverance, and dedication as students encourage and assist each other in improving pace and distance to earn bonus points. This year, the Class of 2017 collectively ran 3,459.8 miles, or in other words, from our campus to Cocoa Beach, Florida! For their victory, the entire class will be heading to Santa Cruz for a beach day.
