The Myth of the Math Brain: Inspiring a Growth Mindset

The Common Ground Speaker Series is pleased to present Jo Boaler, PhD, professor of mathematics education at Stanford University and co-founder of Youcubed, as the first speaker in its 15th Anniversary Season. Dr. Boaker disputes the widely held perception of a “math brain,” and gives hope to the mathematically anxious by showing a pathway to success.

Media Rules: Healthy Connections in the Digital Age

The annual Challenge Success fall conference topic will discuss media and its impact on families. Navigating technology can feel like uncharted and unprecedented territory for parents. How can we effectively manage media use when the rules of engagement seem to be constantly changing? Join Challenge Success on September 30th to explore how adults and kids can establish healthy connections and positive relationships in the digital age. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online.

Ninth Annual Spaghetti Dinner

The Dad's Club* invites you get to know the families of Saint Andrew’s while enjoying a fabulous Spaghetti Feast!

Location: Saint Andrew’s Hall
Time: 6:30 PM (dinner)

Cost: FREE! Please bring a dessert item to share.

Dinner includes spaghetti, salad, sausage, garlic bread and more! (Gluten-free available upon request.) Tasty beverages will also be provided!  Bring your favorite dessert to share.  It adds to the fun.  RSVP today!
